The Last Gift by Ryan Coleman is going to be made into a series spanning at least three books.

The Last Gift Trilogy is an adult dystopian speculative thriller about who controls the choices that shape humanity’s future. In a society governed by the Continuity Archive, every officially confirmed new life must be balanced by the death of someone within that child’s family line. What began as a temporary response to global collapse has survived for generations, transforming compulsory sacrifice into a celebrated act of love.
